COMMUNITY GRANT TIMELINE – 2008 Cycle 2

June 9, 2008
All letters of inquiry shall be sent to Deb Leaf, Grant & Program Coordinator, Winona Community Foundation, Exchange Building, 51 East Fourth Street, Suite 314, Winona MN 55987. Letters must be received by the Foundation by 12:00 noon on Monday, June 9, 2008. Letters of Inquiry may be delivered by electronic submission, postal service or personally.
The Foundation requires a letter of inquiry from all agencies interested in applying for a grant. The one page letter of inquiry shall include the following:
- Brief project description & timeline
- Need of the community for the project and brief note on desired outcomes
- Collaborative efforts and/or other funding sources
- Ability and agreement to raise matching funds for proposed project
- Amount requested and total project costs
- Contact info (email, phone, contact person & organization)
June 20, 2008
All agencies that have submitted letters of inquiry and been accepted to go on to applications will be contacted. The Foundation will distribute grant guidelines and application material to them. All agencies that have submitted letters of inquiry and have not had their proposals accepted will be contacted with in a week.
July 21, 2008
Applications are due. Addressed to Deb Leaf, Grant & Program Coordinator, Winona Community Foundation, Exchange Building, 51 East Fourth Street, Suite 314, Winona MN 55987 must be received in the Foundation office by 12:00 noon on Monday, July 21, 2008. Applications may be delivered by electronic submission (must have summary page with signature), postal service or personally.
August 15 , 2008
By this date, all agencies that have submitted applications will have been contacted regarding the acceptance or rejection of their application proposals. At this time and until September 15, 2008 any agency meeting the requirements of verification for match will have their grant match released.
September 15, 2008
Final date for agencies to verify their share of the grant match to the Winona Community Foundation and for the Foundation to then release grants and announce the awards to area media.
